Can Green Tea Affect Your Health?
Green Tea Health Benefits
As February starts, many people are inclined to throw their resolutions about physical and mental health to the side and begin to slowly go back to old habits. At Urban Tea Company, we totally get that appeal- but we’re also here to help! Every Wednesday we will be posting a blog entry about some of the health benefits of tea, common tea ingredients, and how they can give you the help your body needs. Not only will you be reading about tea, but we will also be posting recipes, health tips and other tidbits. We also want to hear from YOU! Please feel free to message us, or reply to blog posts so we can answer your questions.
For our first Wellness Wednesday blog, we are going to talk about Green Tea, which is a classic for a reason. Green Tea’s roots are from China, and it is said to be the healthiest beverage on the planet since it’s full of antioxidants and nutrients. Antioxidants help to fight cells that harm your body, so the more you consume, the better you’ll feel.
Green Tea helps to…
- Reduce inflammation
- Increase fat burning and improve physical performance
- Lower the risk of cancer
- Lower the risk of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's
- Lower the risk of type two diabetes
- Lower the risk of cardiovascular disease
One thing we appreciate about Green Tea is the boost of energy it gives which helps you to burn more calories and store less fat. We recommend drinking green tea before a workout to get that energy boost that will carry you all the way through, and not give you the crash that coffee can.
At Urban Tea our favorite Green Teas are
